Cut Flower Workshops for lovers of flowers. Workshops for Christmas Wreaths, Bouquets and DIY Weddings. Discover your hidden talent!
Enjoy a relaxing day in the beautiful
setting of Mayfield flower farm, and leave with your fill of flowers
We run a variety of floral workshops at the flower farm throughout the main flower season. During 2018 we are running workshops for Garden to Vase, DIY Weddings and Flower Club. Each one is a relaxed workshop with small group numbers giving you time to practise with guidance always on hand to create beautiful arrangements. We use flowers and foliage grown at Mayfield Flowers cutting gardens and on the Garden to Vase course you will cut some yourself from the gardens. Other courses start with buckets of flowers freshly picked for you, changing with each season. Our style is natural and often a little on the wild side and we respond to the natural shapes and forms that we grow so you will always experience something unique.
For retail flower growers we also have a series of workshops for 2018 to help you grow your business.
Gift vouchers available for all workshops – Why not treat someone to a wonderful day out? Either select and book a date and email us to let us know you would like a gift voucher sent, or buy gift vouchers for the recipient to choose the date. Click for general gift vouchers.

Yes, it is that time of year again when we think of getting snug in the evening and enjoying the traditions of the festive period. A long standing tradition is to adorn your home with a wreath on the door to symbolise eternity, or life, or seasons never ending, as a circular shape has no beginning or end.
Join us on our wreath making workshops with mince pies, mulled wine and lots of exciting materials.
£40 (or £72 for 2 places = 10% discount), two hour workshop
13th December 7-9pm, 15th December 10-12pm and again 2-4pm

These seasonal “how to” tours for small scale growers let you in to the workings of Mayfield Flower Farm. Based around seasonal tasks we will show you how we have tackled these, with hands on opportunities for participants and discussion of variety of methods you may wish to consider in your own enterprise. 10-1pm £55
Dates and tasks likely to be included:
Spring – 19th March: seed sowing and transplants, dahlia sprouting and propagation
Summer – 16th July: successional sowing and planting, feeding regimes,
Autumn – 22nd October: lifting and storage of dahlias, pruning shrubs for stems, bareroot planting
Naturally grown blooms fit perfectly with a woodland burial or eco friendly coffins as well as those looking for less formal funeral tributes. This course is for Flower Growers who want to include natural sympathy flowers in their work and avoid the use of floral foam.
