Sliding into Autumn

The weather has been so favourable recently it is difficult to believe we are nearly half way through September.  But the cooler mornings and evenings and well as the mists are a tell tale sign, though easy to ignore with the continuing heat in the day.  I am easily fooled until I go to harvest things and find that leaves have turned and some plants are looking decidedly shabby close up.

The dahlias, rudbeckia and cosmos are firing on all cylinders and the sweet peas have been kept going with seaweed spray.
